There has been discussion recently at the Jackson selectmen's meeting and articles in the Conway Daily Sun regarding the agreement between Jackson and Bartlett that governs the operation of the transfer station. A copy of the agreement is available by clicking the link below. The Article that appears to be of immediate interest is Article II at the bottom of Page 6.
ARTICLE II - Apportionment of Budgets (In this Article, the term "Towns" means Bartlett and Jackson only)
The Towns agree that the Capital Budget, to the extent that it is approved by their respective town meetings, and the Maintenance and Operating budget as it is submitted to the Boards of the Towns shall be apportioned to each town in the proportion that the state determined equalized assessed valuations of each town bears to the total sum of the equalized valuation of both towns.
