Conservation Commission Minutes
October 8, 2009
Present were Pam Smillie, Phil Davies, Dick Bennet, Brian Byrne, Dave Matesky, and Larry Siebert. Bobbie Meserve was in attendance.
Phil reported on the last workday for the season at Wentworth Park as well as the clean up job he and Dave Matesky did over at Ice Pond Brook. The ground work for the new Library is under way and Jay Henry will be over on the Grey’s Inn property working with an excavator and has already bulldozed the collapsed building and will be looking at the dam and at some of the other possible clean up work that may be involved.
Phil also gave the commission members a brief over view of the DES permit which is a 3 year time frame allowing us to clean up debris from the old Grey’s Inn, as well as removing the cement ice dam and repairing the old stone bridge.
The only motion brought forward at this time was to contract with Rick Davis to do some brushwork at Prospect Farm, Profile Rock and on the Island at Wentworth Park. The motion passed unanimously.
It was reported that Bob Derrah would be moving and would no longer be on the commission. We all urged Bobbie Meserve to put a letter of intent in with the Selectman.
