RSA 362  Public utilities are required to accept power produced by green energy producers.

 

RSA 362:F  Standards on all classes of renewable energy – wind, solar, geothermal, biomass, etc.

 

RSA 674:62-66  Restrictions placed on towns regarding wind turbine installations.

 

A ÒModel OrdinanceÓ published by the state for towns to use in regulating the erection of wind turbines.

 

 

The following are proposed ordinance and guideline drafts formulated by Planning Board members.

Deliberations and hearings will be continue with the intent of incorporating all significant citizen concerns with the objective of consolidating  these drafts either  into a single ordinance to be brought before the townspeople at the March 2010 Town Meeting or intoguidelines that can be converted to an ordinance at a later date if circumstances show that an ordinance is preferable.

 

An ordinance (BH1) which addresses bans on potentially ineffective systems and bird-life safety.

 

An ordinance (JM1)  which addresses views, noise and requirement for annual permitting.

 

Guidelines (BH2) based on the State of New Hampshire Model Ordinance.

 

Guidelines (BH3) based on the State of New Hampshire Model Ordinance – updates March 10, 2010.

 

Other Legal Restrictions
