The treasurer is responsible for receiving money from the Selectmen's Office, the town clerk and the tax collector and depositing it. The treasurer also keeps the records of deposits and expenditures and signs checks at the direction of the Selectmen and others on a weekly basis.
The treasurer is an elected position with a three year term of office.
