Building permits are required for site disturbance as well as actual building construction.
A BUILDING PERMIT IS NOT REQUIRED FOR A PROJECT WITH A VALUE OF TEN THOUSAND ($10,000) DOLLARS OR LESS, UNLESS THE WORK EXTENDS OUTSIDE OF THE CURRENT FOOTPRINT.
IN THAT CASE, A FEE OF TWENTY FIVE ( $25) DOLLARS IS REQUIRED.
FOR PROJECTS WITH A VALUE ABOVE TEN THOUSAND ($10,000) , THE FEE SHALL BE CALCULATED AS FOLLOWS-
FEE =$75.00 PLUS .0025 per dollar of value. (Example : for a project with a value of $20,000 - the FEE would be $ 75.00 PLUS an additional $50 ($20,000 Xs .0025) for a TOTAL FEE of $125.
FEE ADJUSTMENT - If a project's cost was estimated to be less than $10,000, and it later exceeds that estimate, the following applies: There will be an additional charge of $50 PLUS .0025 of total revised value. This brings the fee in line with the method described in number 2 above.
